Posting fishing rod that is 165cm long

Hi. I need to post a fishing rod that is 165cm long but it less than 1kg in weight. I’ve packed it and the width is less than 16cm both ways.
Looking online I’m getting quotes of £35 plus to post.
Does anyone know a much cheaper service please?

Yes that's what I got, UPS Standard. I didn't think that was too bad. The 8.5 Kg is volumetric weight.0
