Perhaps BT were reluctant to spend anything on stopping scam calls because it encourages people to buy their expensive landline phones to stop them. I doubt if I could justify a landline once the contract runs out.0 -
We have BT phones with TruCall (I think it’s called)
We never get cold calls - any incoming calls that aren’t in the favourites have to go through an announcement (similar to an answer phone)
Cold callers don’t even bother and just hang up.4 -
I say I'm not the house owner I get fewer cold calls now hopefully I'm off their sucker list as they call it. I never give my name or any other information I just ask who's calling. These calls are for their benefit, not yours treat all as scams.1
