I've only ever used eurorescue (same group as autoaid) - note that despite one part of the website saying "no vehicles over 10 years old", they actually will do up to 15 years old, at a price, for a short-enough cover period (1 week is fine). They charge me about £70 for a 2010 Toyota.

I've never actually had to use the breakdown service though...

I found AXA to be competitive on price, but I never had to claim on the policy, so can't say what the service would be like if you did breakdown.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

We always used ADAC - never broke down so not able to comment on that side of things.

I'm looking for cover as well - with the added complication of towing a caravan.

We used ADAC several times a long time ago, including one claim, which they handled very well and they were very helpful. However I understood they had stopped insuring British cars / drivers since Brexit?
