How to be paid for our excess generation with no DCC connectivity

We have a large number of solar panels that at this time of year generate excess power. We do have batteries but when full the rest goes back into the grid. We do have a smart meter, but as we have no DCC connectivity in our area no way of reporting it or being paid for this.
However as the smart meter does record this excess generation. So will the power companies be happy to accept a manual reading from me for export just as they do for import...and if not why not?

They should accept manual readings. Earlier PV installations just had a separate export meter, that had to be read. You can change you deemed export (assuming you are on an old FiT scheme) to a SEG, where you can be paid a lot more for exports, particularly with Octopus.0

You will also need an export MPAN to get paid, contact you power supplier

I applied via Octopus, to go on one of their metered export tariffs (can't remember which right now), on 30 Nov 23, rather than stay on a deemed export with EDF.
Octopus have applied for the export MPAN, but nothing yet.0 -
@Robin9, as it'll be metered export, rather than deemed, Octopus pay 15p.
Leaving the FIT Generation part with EDF for now, as they all pay the same amount for that bit. (I liked the way they pay, and how quick. Not to say I won't move it in future.)
Just sent a chaser message to Octopus, via Twitter.0
