Are Ecotricity a good supplier?

I’m thinking of switching to Ecotricity, are they any good? Is their call centre in UK?

In what way do you consider a company to be good.

AFAIK Ecotricity are a "green" supplier if that's what you want but they can be more expensive because of that (they aren't bound by the price cap like most of the other suppliers)

When it comes down to customers service, that sort of depends if you have a problem - I've been with around eight or nine suppliers in the last 14 years and apart from four of them going bust I've never had a problem (although getting a refund from bust companies took time, it never caused a problem). But I do read my meter every week and check my bills/statements every month (and save a PDF copy) to make sure that they are correct.

If you are attracted by their cheap fix which is currently on offer, I'm sure that will be fine but beware that if you stay beyond the end date they will presumably put you on their own standard default tariff and they are not bound by the price cap. Who knows, they might offer you another good fix, but just don't forget the date and then get a nasty shock when you find you're paying more than you need.

Best way to find out if the call center is in UK is to ring them & ask 👍

But it is the quality of staff that counts, not where they are based. Have dealt with many O/S call centers that have better quality staff than some UK ones.
