Which UK online trading platforms allow non residents? Does it even matter if they are UK based or not?

    None.

if you don't have a UK address you might be able to open an account with Interactive Brokers or Internaxx.

Sorry, just to qualify this a bit more - I am currently a UK resident but Im planning on moving abroad. I will still have UK address.
So where can I invest now and still commit to once non-resident?
    Thanks.

Internaxx is no longer apparently. Bought out by SwissQoute.
Curious, do you have personal experience with these two platforms?
    Thanks.

In many cases you can continue to trade existing holdings after leaving the UK. It does depend somewhat about where you are going. EU countries for example have restrictions on providers from third countries selling financial services to their residents, so you'd probably be out of luck in that case.
You may get better responses on a forum dedicated to expats.

Depends on where you're moving to. If it's to somewhere in the EU then you'll probably have an easier time with the likes of De Giro and Trading 212 as they both operate in the EU.
