LarryR said:I was thinking about cancelling Bupa and hoping that my work provider can't see/won't check that there was a period of overlap? Then if I make a future claims I will only have one policy in place. If I leave my company, I will have to start again with a new provider or negotiate a personal policy with my work provider?Depending on the policy through your employer you may be able to continue it on a personal basis at your own cost.
You would need to check with them about that.
If you can’t continue it then, yes, you would need to arrange your own new policy, which would probably exclude pre existing conditions.0 -
I'm going to call Bupa tonight and cancel, and when they ask why I'll just say my employer has arranged PMI for me and hope that's an end to it 🤞. I hope there's not a list somewhere that gets updated and shared around 😬0

@LarryR your employers wont know you had a previous personal policy. One thing I would say is make sure the company policy is suitable for your needs, If you do leave the company you wouldn't necessarily need to start a fresh policy you can join another insurance plan as a group leaver. That way any condition that arose during your time of employment would still look to be covered. This would be known an a group leaver CPME switch.0
