The registration was renewed in May for another year, but there are no active DNS records for it, so maybe the hosting was not renewed for some reason and has now ceased, assuming it was on the same anniversary as the registration...

I didn't bother renewing it. I still have the contents and can easily put it on another domain. I didn't think anyone knew about it.6

I remember this website being quite slow due to a lot of traffic.

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I also own the domain pepipoo.uk which also about to expire. I just have redirect set up from that to here or FTLA.2

Why is it about to expire or why do I own the domain pepipoo.uk?
I am also active on FTLA and knowing that Pepipoo was having problems, I wrote to them offering to transfer the domain to them at cost (£5). No response was ever received. I owned the domain and set up a webpage with a basic forum which can be expanded as necessary. I use forum software (Xenforo) that is much much more flexible and easier on the eye than the free software used for Pepipoo and the software used on here.
As stated, the domain is about to expire and I will let it dissolve back into the ether unless someone either wants the domain (£7 to renew for a year) or wants me to do more with it.
There are many, many variations on the pepipoo domain, including but not limited to .info, org, .net, .me, .io, .de, .store, .co, .ao, .fr, .eu, .ae, .cloud, .app, .scot, .club, .tech, .shop, .limited, .london, .biz, .website, .tv, .blog, .pro, .in, .dev, .xyz, .studio, .nl, .site, ..co.za, .be, .solutions, .life, .icu, .group, .services, .art, .media, .space, .agency, .com.mx, .consulting, .ch, .digital, .live, .world, .support, .today, .email and many, many more. Why would I try and "intercept" a domain when there are countless other options out there for a small price?
