Butlins Lowest Price Guarantee - Not what it seems

Butlins have a Lowest Price Guarantee. So if you see the holiday you booked cheaper they will refund the difference. (You have to get a new quote, save it and email them) It's possible to do this as late as the morning your break is due to start. So always check.
BUT they have emailed me to say they cannot give refunds for under £5 yet have amended my booking confirmation to show the cheaper price!!
This doesn't seem right!

In fairness thats not as bad as many other money back guarantees which are worthless because the retailer gets unique model names from the manufacturer so no one sells them at all to price match against other than them themselves.
I'd question them where the minimum £5 clause is in their T&Cs though as I cannot spot it1 -

Why not ask for a "free coffee" voucher, or such like? I assume the Butlins site has a café of some sort.0 -

It will probably cost them even more if the OP keeps writing to them about this and asking for answers. It's a very silly attitude of Butlins to not just refund in the first place and have a happy customer.
