One friend swears by James Villas, most other friends only use Airbnb.

James Villas are pretty expensive in my opinion

    We advertise ours on Tripadvisor/Holidaylettings/Vrbo
    There's also 'Owners Abroad'

We usually look on VRBO, Holiday Lettings, Airbnb and Booking.com

In some cases, if i can see that it's an agent that is advertising the property, I will then look on their own website and book direct as it can often be cheaper or have better booking conditions. You can usually tell by the 'host' name or profile picture.

I find also if you copy n paste the 1st 2/3 lines of the advert into google you can sometimes find the owners website & book direct and cheaper.

    Interesting.
We rent out our place on Holiday Lettings/Trip Advisor and have reviews going back for 14 years but some still prefer to book via the agent despite us offering a 10% discount for 'direct' bookings.
Maybe the press coverage of all the scams puts them off?
