Birthday Party

My 2 DS's will have their birthdays next month 5 days apart, for the past few years they have had joint birthday parties that usually cost me about £90. This year I really don't want to spend alot, what would people suggest I do or what have other people done? My children will be 6 & 7. Thanks.

Let them choose a couple of friends and go bowling or to the cinema? That's what I'm doing this year!

tbh, I always did that with DS (big bday party) and I don't regret the money. However this year we bought a house so don't have much money available. We just spent the day with him. Had a family party & then snuggled up under the duvet on the sofa. As long as their day is planned and special (some balloons maybe) they are young enough not to be bothered by the lack of fancy stuff.

  • I liked the idea of bowling but taking 6 of them bowling (2 friends each) would be £30 just for one game:eek:

  • I don't know if all 'Brewers Fayre' pubs do this, but I saw a sign in our local Brewers Fayre, saying you could hire the whole fun factory (indoor play area) for 2 hours on a Saturday for just £60 and invite something like up to 60 Children! (10am-12) This doesn't incude food/drinks, but I thought it was good value.

Let them have either one or two friends each for a sleep over , hire a DVD and have a pizza sleepover.... they will love it....
