P4 Parking - Escalating should I pay?

I received a ticket from P4 parking in Scotland a couple of months ago.
After consulting the forum I raised an official dispute admitting I was the driver as it was a courtesy car I was driving and I didn’t want the dealership getting involved. My dispute focussed on the fact that the signage wasn’t clear, sufficient or properly lit when I parked at night in the middle of winter. All of which is absolutely true…limited signs not lit with tiny writing. Surprising given that they say they’re BPA approved.
They flat out rejected this without much reasoning.

I’m now concerned as they keep sending letters saying they’re close to taking me to court.
Whats the likelihood of them actually following through with this? And if I do go to court is it likely I will lose…the only defence I have is that I did not see the signs and did not knowingly enter a contract with them?
Finally if I was to lose could this end up costing me thousands?

Amount they are asking me for is now up at £170 which I’m debating paying if there is real risk for me here.
thanks for any help

no, you never pay.1

if you lose in court ( if it even gets that far ) the most you will pay is a couple of hundred, but again the chances are if you follow the Neebees thread you will not lose.
I'm not sure about Scotland but if you hadn't admitted being the driver I think that would have been enough.1 -
It's not escalating.
You're in Scotland. Nothing will happen.Whats the likelihood of them actually following through with this?Next to none. You'd be the first for them.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for the feedback! @Coupon-mad
Sounds like no need for action due to very low risk of things advancing even though I owned up to being the driver.

Hi @Coupon-mad sorry just to continue on this thread.P4 have now issued a LBC (it came from them directly no mention of a solicitor) tell me to cough up to "Credit Investigation Services" or face going to court.
Again if I was the register keeper and had made no admission of being driver I wouldn't be concerned. My major concern is the fact I already ADMITTED TO BEING THE DRIVER. This was done from previous forum advice, because the car in question was a courtesy car from a dealership. So to avoid them getting involved, I raised an initial dispute claim with P4 parking admitting I was the driver but that signage was poor etc. Which was ignored.
My question now is, what do I need to do with this LBC?
Do I need to respond? Seems advice in Scotland is generally to continue to ignore however I feel my situation is more challenging due to driver admission.Either way I'm reluctant to pay £170 - will take my chances and gamble provided the risk of losing at court won't cost me more than a few hundred quid.
Thanks so much for your help0 -
We need a chuckle. Let's see a redacted copy of their so-called LBC please. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

You have not received an LBC. Ignore.
You situation has no relevance sorry.2 -
@Grizebeck So advice is still to ignore? And that admission of being driver is not of any relevance? Same advice with little to zero chance of them advancing?
Thanks in advance0 -
Nothing will happened.
Ignore.3
