Falled for a scam - can I get my money back

I bought something on the internet after a google search - cost of £59.99 via a shopify shop on my Amex on Monday. Received the standard receipt email and was able to track progress until last night and now the link doesn't work nor does the link tot he store. I went to the original website, none of the contact info works and the registered address is a guesthouse in Edinburgh who no nothing about famino3.myshopify.com.
I have tried to raise a dispute via Amex website but they advised I could do nothing for 10 days - is this right? would I be better talking to a human at Amex?
Other than telling me how daft I have been - and I know, can't believe I was this naive! - has anyone got any advise for me as I've never been scammed before so not sure what to do!

Presumably Amex's 10 day thing is to allow time for delivery, because although a chargeback should be possible, they need to be satisfied that the item hasn't just been delayed. I suspect if you talked to a human they will say the same.
I'd just wait for the 10 days to elapse and then assuming the item still hasn't arrived, raise the dispute.1 -
Some cry wolf too quickly and say something is a scam and then the goods do actually turn up. Now sometimes the goods aren't good quality etc but that is a separate allegation to them having not sent them.Jeffers76 said:I bought something on the internet after a google search - cost of £59.99 via a shopify shop on my Amex on Monday. As AmEx have said, they require you to give reasonable time to confirm the goods are not going to arrive rather than have them go to the effort of raising the dispute only to have to cancel it in a few days time when you come back saying the goods now received.0 -
Had it have been Visa or Mastercard you are looking at 15 & 30 days before action for non receipt.
Wait the 10 days (so next monday) & then raise it with Amex.Life in the slow lane0
