If you have a Halifax current account, you can open another online without a hard search.
This is great, I'll give it a try, thank you.

Do you know if there's a limit of current accounts you can open with them please?

I believe three at any one time.

It will depend on each individual bank's policies.  In theory, there's no need for them to run a credit check if they're not providing any form of credit - typically an overdraft facility if you're talking only about current accounts.  But many banks will still run a check anyway.
Is there a particular reason why you don't want a check performed?  Unless you've already got a lot of hard searches registered in a fairly short space of time, a single credit check on its own is neither here nor there in the grand scheme of things.
I want to do an account switch to take advantage of switch bonuses. I thought it would be better if i didn't need to be credit checked to open a dummy current account as i would likely be credit checked for the switch so i didn't want 2 in a short period of time if i could avoid it 😊
Chase are perfect for this. They only soft credit check, and you can make a second account with them in the app instantly. You can then switch from that 2nd account without closing the main, then when you want to do another switch offer ..... just make a new 2nd chase account.

I think that's per product group.

So you can have a max of three reward accounts, three ultimate, three standard or a combination.

They will soon tell you upon application.  The good thing is, no hard search.
