SAR Request!

So let’s say for an example:

I did SAR request with my bank for statements!

Which they completed very quickly yay but where just list of transactions not what I wanted!

so I redid SAR request as per what I was told
To do! (Via their social media team) with putting all details in the right box’s that I wanted official colour or Black & white statements!

I was told they cancelled the Request thinking it was Duplicate one! 

Are the legally allowed to do that? 

Just wondering

You've been provided with the information. There's no legal right to demand it in a customised fashion.

They don’t have to send you full bank statements. As long as they send the  information that they hold on you then it can just be a list of transactions.

So yes, as they have already provided the information then they are legally able to do what they have.

if you want official bank statements is there not the option of paying for them?

 Is this the same bank/issue you were complaining about last July.
I don’t see why you can’t track your spending via the transaction list If that’s what you are trying to do.

Different issue but thank you anyway! They did what I asked so all good! 

Didn’t think they would send full bank statements as that would be too long winded for Them to sort

Pay the fee they'll spend the time. Remember banks do have the option of terminating relationships.

Yep I do know that! 

No fee, but knew with SAR Request they might not send full statements

The R stands for "request" btw.

Still happy that my bank fulfilled my SAR request very quickly which I think has most of the data I asked for on it!

A statement is a list of transactions 🤷‍♀️

If you wanted copies of your actual statements, then that is a chargeable service. 👍

I didn’t know that & thought if I asked I would get actual statements seems not tho 😀
