eBay & Royal Mail Tracking

I tend not to add the tracking number to sold items anymore, until after delivery confirmation by Royal Mail, as it seems to encourage buyers to open "Item Not Received" requests, when the Postie doesn't mark it as delivered even when it has been, since I stopped doing this INR's have pretty much stopped.
Recently I posted a 2nd class item that took 7 working days to arrive, if I add the tracking to confirm delivery on eBay will it get marked down for late delivery?
