RJ45 to Thunderbolt question

Hullo.  Can anyone pls advise whether this adaptor will work with a 2021 MBP having thunderbolt 4 ports:

They only say it is compatible with 2020 MBP and earlier, which is presumably an earlier port

Read the listing again.

"MacBook Pro 2022/2021/2020/2019/2018/2017/2016" it says halfway down the page

(I'm assuming that's what "MBP" stands for, MacBook Pro?)

^ thank you, that is good news as the thunderbolt 4 ones seem to be 3 times as much

This is a USBC to Ethernet connector not thunderbolt which is why it's much cheaper. It supports up to 1 gb connection whereas the thunderbolt ones support 10gb connections but that requires your other devices to also support ethernet at those speeds whereas many routers etc will max out at 2.5gb connections if that.

Ah, good to know, thanks.  It's only needed as a quick fix so 1 gig will do fine.
