Morning all.
Happy birthday Silver-Oldie, I hope you have a lovely day.
Belated happy birthday Nanny-Window, hope you enjoyed your family visit.
It's sunny grey clouds today - 30 minutes ago it was bright sun & blue sky and then it suddenly turned grey & the heavens opened.
Not much going on today - I'm currently off work again while some side effects are got under control so am having to pace myself and take things easy.
TA, maybe your friend can contact MIND for some advice on her husband's MH?
Scarlet & Izzy, I'm another who gets someone in when ceilings or stairs need decorating - if it's just painting walls & woodwork I will do it myself in my own time.
Cameron, isn't it funny that some folk seem to make assumptions - bet they're now wondering if their contracts will get renewed at all as part of the savings. Worrying times for you... I'd be doing my sums 😉2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Morning! Sunny at the moment ,I've done my daily walk arouund the garden out the back [makes it sounf more impressive than t is, it isn't, it's just some raised beds, an annoying solar pond pump that keeps spouting water out of the pond whenever the foxes play with it and a lot of pots in and out of the greenhouse. Fluid day today, not sure what I'm up to, apart from putting more things in the cs/bin piles. I suppose I could book a tip run.SO, Happy Birthday! camelot, so annoying when you can't pan when things are up in the air. TA, sounds ominous, can she get help anywhere? Ruby, hope you don't catch it too! Glad the nephew is not in the picutre for now. Floss, hopefully short lived ones for you..snoozer, I expect that's more work you can do without too..They are putting quite a lot on you and Steve it appears [ I may be wrong though, circumstances and all that] Gers, stay snug! Rosy, well done to your husband et al for the work involved in refuting the idiots claims..nanny, you may have said, I may have forgotten, but why Nanny Window? anyway, take care all....Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi11

Good Afternoon All
i am a bit amiss at posting but I’m now on annual leave for a few days.
Weather here is mixed at the moment sunny then cloudy and cold. Hope it stays dry as the grass badly needs cutting.
DS2 is now allowed to weight bear slightly and is now having physio which is painful. He has to build up the muscles in his leg and hopefully get more movement in his knee. Thank goodness for the NHS, it’s amazing what they can achieve.I am now divorced and have now received a settlement so I have made an offer on a house which has been accepted so keeping my fingers crossed all goes through ok. Unfortunately due to my age the mortgage will be higher than my rent as I could only get a mortgage for 12 years now. At least it will give me security and it will be mine.I just now need to make a start on sorting my stuff out, getting rid of things I don’t need. It’s a work in progress.
Happy Birthday Silver Oldie, hope you have a nice day.
Redruby - hope your DM starts to feel better.
Snoozer - I only have my grandchildren now and again but it wears me out too. Hope you manage a bit of rest.
TA - sorry to hear about your friend, hope she can manage to get a bit of help.Nanny - hope Mr Fix it gets better soonHugs to anyone that needs one. Take Care12 -
Hello all, thank you all for the birthday wishes, my day was lovely and I had lots of presents.
Silver Oldie Happy Birthday to you, have a lovely day. I shall be thinking of you as it may be a difficult time for you, so here's a big hug just from me to you 🧡 🎉
Today I woke up thinking it was Thursday, I seem to have lost a day ! Mr Fix It still isn't well but at least he's out from under his blanket on the recliner and not dozing like most of yesterday.
Today we have a brighter day weather wise but I have nothing specific planned so it maybe a day of sloth or gentle pottering. I may look for another jigsaw to start too.
Scarlet the last round of wall papering nearly did me in ! Trouble with me is that I want to finish 2mins after I start 😂
Camelot how awful that you're expected to wait until they're ready 😡
RedRuby I hope all will be ok with your DM, it's such a worry for you.
TA how lovely of your neighbour to cut the hedge, send him round here please as ours needs doing too.
Hope everyone has a good day, hugs to anyone in need.
Take care all
nan xx

Hi taff, in fact they bend over backwards not to ask us to do things. They asked us to look after Nate because they knew we'd appreciate the time with him, it should be bi-weekly alternating with crystal's mum but she isn't very well and it may be that she won't be able to cope. As to the stables, we have offered to help them over the hump because their builder has proved to be a bit of a cowboy, refusing to correct such things as a loose window and others that won't open and warping doors (both newly installed) so they said they wouldn't pay any more if those weren't sorted. Apart from that it's just things like the skirtings and painting to finish. Steve will enjoy getting his teeth into those and will be able to save Chris time in sorting out the doors and window.12

Hi everyone and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x
A fairly decent day here which makes a change!
A belated Happy Birthday to @nannywindow – hope you had a super day yesterday xx
Happy Birthday to you @silver-oldie – hope you have a lovely day xx
We too do our own decorating but I’m looking forward to the day when I can justify hiring help! DH is very handy and replaced the white towel heated rail in the bathroom this week. It had served us well over 17 years but had developed a few little rust spots. We have gone for chrome and it looks fab.
Sorry to hear of your friends’ woes @TravellingAbuela – I hope she can find some resolution. Do they have children she can lean on for support? How lovely of your neighbour to help with the hedge – that’s so nice to hear.
Good to hear things are improving for you @topsyturphy – good luck to DS2 for his physio and to you both for the house purchase.
I had a bit of a nephew wobble earlier – saw an ambulance which triggered me just as a colleague met me in the corridor. So embarrassing. Luckily I work with compassionate folk. I’m hoping to book DH and I a holiday to Crete for September. Just needed to check a couple of details with DH before pressing ‘book’ and parting with the deposit!
Have a good day everyone
