Is my passport still valid for travel

Hello I am hoping someone can help and to put my mind to rest. I am due to travel to Egypt on the 5th of July and my passport says date of issue 04 November 2014 and date of expiry 04 August 2025. I am second guessing myself but is this ok and I wont need to get a new passport sorted as I know that they no longer add on extra months and I think thats whats confusing me. I hope this makes sense. Thank you for any help

"Your passport must be valid for 6 months from the date you arrive"
which means the expiry date printed on your passport must be after 5th January 2025....which it is

Extra months are no longer added with early renewal of a passport, but the extended validity gained when you renewed yours is not lost.
Your passport is valid until the expiry date printed in it.
It is only for travel to EU countries that the validity in excess of ten years is no longer accepted.

And even then, that's only for the entry check, the departure one is based on the full validity.

Quite correct. By 'travel to' I did mean 'entry', but the latter would have been clearer.

I think this EU rule has confused people who are travelling outside the EU.
I'm going to EU in June 2024 and again in September 2024.
I'm going to the Far East in October 2024.

My passport was issued in March 2015 and expires 30/9/2025.

So I'm OK for both EU holidays as it was issued less than 10 years before I enter the country and is valid for more than 3 months after I leave.

I'm also OK for my Far East holiday as I need to have an expiry date at least 6 months after the date I arrive (I have almost a full year).
