Changing from multicar to single car insurance policy

Hi all,
A quick question, i have had a change in circumstances and i'm having to end one of my car leases early.
I paid annually for insurance this January for 2 cars. Now i am returning one, i'm assuming i won't be able to get any kind of refund etc.
If anyone can confirm this or anything i can do to recoup some money please let me know.

I thought that multicar policies (rather than "fleet" policies) were effectively just single car policies strapped together.
If yours is, then you might get a refund of unused complete months on one of the policies minus admin fees. Whether that amounts to much I don't know, especially if you also lose some discount on the other policy.1 -
Thanks for the reply @BarelySentientAI

I'll post an update on the outcome.0 -
For most insurers you are correct, a tiny bit more complex in that they harmonise the renewal date to create barriers to exit.BarelySentientAI said:I thought that multicar policies (rather than "fleet" policies) were effectively just single car policies strapped together.

For many you won't lose the multi-car discount on the second vehicle until renewal but each insurer will inevtiably have their own stance.0
