Should I just pay?

I visited my son and paid to park in the apartment block's private carpark (have the email receipt). Just received a parking fine. Turns out as I was typing in the car registration I entered 1 of the letters incorrectly. Is it worth appealing this or should I just pay up?

Why on earth would you pay a scammer, which PPC issued this invoice, it is not a fine?
In any case a single digit entered incorrectly is not a reason to issue a charge anyway.

Please have a read of the Newbies/FAQ thread in order to enlighten yourself as to whether you should appeal. No one suggests you "just pay up"... unless you don't mind being scammed.
  • The company was first parking.ec6pay.com. I did make the error but I did pay to park there

But why consider paying a scam PCN, when the BPA Code says they have to cancel a PCN for a single digit keying error.

Very very easy to kill with one appeal.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yep.  No need to use a template.  VERY EASY.

Just appeal showing them evidence of the single digit keying error and tell them they clearly failed the requirement to carry out 'human checks' of ANPR data (to look for close-match VRM payments) and as such they should never have proceeded to issue a PCN and must now cancel per the BPA CoP.
