Anyone used ECO4 Grant for boiler/windows? Experiences/hacks?

Hi there,

I bought an ex council house in March, total refurb and needs everything doing. Old hot water gas boiler and old Warm Air electric boiler/heater system. Windows are all falling apart.

I applied for Great British Insulation scheme in Feb and STILL waiting for assessment!

Only just discovered I need to sign up for ECO4 separately to be in with a chance of Windows or Boiler. (I qualify - UC, low income etc) and have done that with a random provider, with no idea if they are a good one or not!

Its SO confusing, and I'm worried I'll have to just replace them myself because the timelines are too long.

I'd love to hear your experiences with the grant

- is it worth hanging in there?
- can they do an assessment on the boilers now they've been uninstalled (builder had to take them out)
