I’ve been suspended, and now have been called to a meeting to discuss my notice period

I am currently on suspension for asking a question,if something had been found. The person in question says I accused them of theft. The person was took aside by themselves and asked correctly.
I was told it was a severe accusation and as a manager cannot ask. Therefore I was being suspended.
After 3 days I have now received an email invitation to discuss my notice period. I am currently 1 month through my contractual 3 month notice period.
I have received nothing regarding my suspension or investigation.
What should I do at my meeting.

How long have you worked for your current employers? What does their disciplinary procedure look like, have you read it?Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0

I am struggling to fully understand this, but am I correct in thinking that you have started serving your notice already, and that has nothing at all to do with this allegation? If that is the case, it sounds like they may be thinking of suggesting that if you leave sooner they will drop the investigation / possible disciplinary. It would be a mechanism they could use to get rid of you faster and without paying the full notice period. On the other hand, it also may not be in your best interests to get dismissed and they have time to do that if there are two months left on your notice.0

Sounds like 3 months notice has been given - now the employer is looking to reduce that down and is using the allegation of accusation.
If it was me - I'd go into the discussion and go for damage limitation - accept the reduced notice period on the basis no investigation would take place and no adverse references given.
This does not seem like a fight worth fighting - get a new job and move on asap.1 -
So you are Person A's manager. You called them aside and asked them if they had found "an iphone". Why call Person A aside, rather than openly asking the whole team if anyone had found "an iphone" ? Calling Person A aside suggests an allegation has been made against him/her.So you had resigned and were nearly one month in to your notice period when you were suspended? At the meeting you might want to talk about how the team can continue to function until your replacement is in place, and work you can be doing in the background for the remainder of your notice period. If things go badly then you could conceivably be instantly dismissed for gross misconduct.0

OP is extremely unclear
1. what is your role
2. what is the role of the individual you have accused
3. do you supervise or manage them, and would the systems and processes ofthe business support you making an initial inquiry / starting an investigation into an issue of this nature
4. what is the exact accusation you have supposedly made ?
5. are you currently serving your notice period seperately ?
6. why are you currently serving your notice period ? ( resign / retire / redundant / 'invited to part ways ' i.e. compromise agreement territory )
you cannot be suspended for 'asking a question'
you could however be suspended for
a. threatening or intimidating another member of staff
b. over stepping your authority in a manner which your 'big boss' feels puts you / other staff / the busness at risk

OP has one post and a 2nd visit this morning - but has left no additional information - looks like they either got waht they want, didn't like what they read or is just rude.1

you cannot be suspended for 'asking a question'
Assuming you are being paid, or your contract permits it, you can definitely be suspended for asking a question... or anything else. Therefore questions 1- 6 are irrelevant. You can be suspended for asking a question. Whether you can be dismissed for it is an entirely different matter.
