I earn just over that - until 4 months from now when I retire. There is no way on God's earth you want to do what I did to get there. Although I definitely didn't hang out on the Internet in the school holidays... Drat... there wasn't an Internet!2

I haven't quite earned 100k, however I was earning 70k with company car plus property rental paid in full.
If I had stayed around, I believe I'd now be earning 100k due to pay increases that I have since learnt came a year or so after.
Now for the negatives, I was working 80 hours a week over 6/7 days, sometimes working 20 days straight through. I hardly ever saw my elderly parents. It was a pressurised environment to work in, I managed a team that at times frustrated me to put it politely.
I knew my industry but I hated it, specialist finance. I had been in that industry for 15-20 years and knew a fair bit I'd like to think. I wasn't happy with working 80 hours for 70k, effectively I was on an equivalent of 35k ,40 hour job which didn't reflect my knowledge or experience so I walked away from the industry a few years ago.
Much happier now, earning less money though, managing no one. If someone pays you 100k, there's going to be a reason.7 -
A public sector job for £80K would be £100K+ once you add the employer's pension contributions.0

I want to bring in £100k a year. What jobs bring this in?
If you do earn this already (through employment and other means) would you be so kind as to tell us what you do/how you earn this?
Thanks for your assistance.

Failing that, get a degree that has lots of mathematics in it:

Buy five 2 bed and five 3 bed rental properties outright for cash and the rents should just about put you there.
Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.1 -

Any £300k house would provide a rent of over a grand a month, nine of them leaving £100k for costs and stamp duty and your home and dry.The next post from the OP could be "Where can I get £3m from?"Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years.
