What a solicitor told me when I was buying a house on my own and queried what would happen if I later moved a boyf in lived together then we split would this person have a claim on my property.

'That all cases are judged on their own merit. If my (hypothetical) boyfriend had contributed in some way to my property then yes there was the potential that they could have a claim'

That doesn't mean you'd succeed, it might be costly but first establish what you've contributed and decide from there whether this is worth perusing or not

You've put you paid all expenses. What does this mean? You paid 100% of all bills or 50%? Which bills?
