Reason 5678 you can't speak to your Solicitor.
We're busy resending bank details to clients who haven't bothered to read the correspondence we've sent to them in the post saying 'Here's our bank details from the outset. They'll never change. Anyone saying otherwise LET US KNOW'.1 -
There are case studies published by the Financial Ombudsmen covering situations like this. They are not all resolved in favour of the customer, but I was surprised to see how many of them were.
Here's an example of one where a customer was refunded after being scammed.
