Buyers solicitor nightmare - local searches!!!!

We are on week 13 of the sale of our leasehold flat, we have a first-time buyer and are buying a new build so there isn't much of a chain.
The developers of the new build that we are buying are threatening to remarket our house if we're not exchanged and completed by the end of next week. I understand they have certain exchange deadlines but they're not being too flexible.
Everything has been done, and all enquires have been raised but it's come to light that our buyer's solicitor only requested the searches in the middle of May and lied to our developer that they requested them in March so they are really not happy (Our developer has been getting updates from the buyer's solicitor as well as our own)
I have no proof of when the searches were actually submitted and I checked with our local council and they still can't see any searches under our property address which is worrying (The searches were apparently made via a private search company)
We're at huge risk of losing our house. Where do we stand with this? Can we speed up the local searches in any way by going via our solicitor?

Are you really? The developers like to sabre-rattle, but they don't necessarily want to start from scratch with another buyer.movinghome2024xxx said:

Haven't you discussed this with your solicitor?1 -
I can only go by what the developer has said, the issue is that the buyer's solicitor has been caught lying to the developer about when they requested the searches, so they have lost confidence in the solicitor and are questioning how close we really are to exchange.
I'm sure they will give us a little bit of leeway but we're 3.5 weeks over our original exchange date so they are laying the pressure on now.

Yes, we've offered to pay for expedited searches (They take 2 days) but no response from the buyer's solicitor yet. I wanted to see if anyone has any advice on what they have done in the past if they've been in the same situation.Haven't you discussed this with your solicitor?
It's very difficult when you're not dealing with the solicitor directly.0 -
Sorry, which solicitor are you not dealing with directly? Your own solicitor deals with this sort of thing day in and day out, they should be giving you suitable advice. It's what you're paying them for.movinghome2024xxx said:

Calm down. You are almost there, and of course the developers are not going to drop you and start over with someone else.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
