Travel Insurance - death or serious illness of relative.

I have a Platinum policy with AllClear. I understand it would cover for trip cancellation on death of either father/father-in-law but I don't think you're covered in the event of serious illness.

Most include death or serious illness of a close relative for the basis of a claim, can't think of one that doesn't.
Your challenge will not be having that coverage but the fact that they exclude pre-existing conditions. So it will be fine if one falls and breaks their hip but not if they have a heart attack. One of the most liberal wordings comes from one of the packaged bank accounts where it only excludes pre-existing conditions for non-travelling family where the illness was reasonably forseeable. So if their heart attacks were 20 years ago and they've been fine since their bypass done around the same time then you'd be ok... if they've been tot heir doc every year saying their heart issues are getting worse then still no coverage.1 -

My Allclear policy doesn't cover for cancellation due to serious injury of a relative. Neither does an InsureAndGo policy I just checked. Have you got any examples where you are covered?

Seems like mine does. Redundancy too, which I'd completely forgotten was included.1 -
