Car breakdown & rejection, but me, the car and the garage it came from are all miles apart!

    @gazzaman -  I forgot to ask but was the car advertised with an 8 year battery warranty?  And did that play a part in influencing your decision to buy this car?

    If yes I'd suggest you could add this to your arguments under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (legislation.gov.uk) that the car was not as described because the warranty had been invalidated, and that would be reinfrocing your rejection argument.

    Two other points:

    1.  How much did you pay for the car?

    2.  As you paid £100 by credit card you might have a s75 claim agaianst your card provider if you can't get the seller in Liverpool to play ball
