Hi

I am due to go away in September and again in December, although I tend to use the 123 Credit Card using it several times wherever I go, paying it of in full soon after of course, as long as I let Santander know, where I am going and intend using it, I am good to go, its really used as a back up method, never using it to withdraw money at a ATM as that is the only time there appears to be a charge, but lately with so many travel cards available I just wondered is this the best card to use internationally?

You might want to look at the new Edge credit card - it really is a good deal if you employ it for your main monthly shopping. No fees abroad when used to settle for  goods and services.
Gets a best buy nod on MSE.
There is a £3 monthly fee - however the cashback can cover that if used as above, with some extra.
You need a Santander current account before applying - however their Everyday current account which has absolutely no strings attached meets that requirement. That is fee free if used at a Santander branch ATM for currency in several countries.

Thanks NDM, although it just sounds like its a replacement for the old 123 World Credit Card, as that too has a monthly fee of £3 and it is a cash back card, as I get rewarded eveytime I use it internationally.

    Indeed, very similar.
I see the 123 credit card is no longer available to new customers - obviously nudging potential punters towards the Edge card.
I also have the Santander Zero credit card, also no longer on the market - although legacy customers can still retain it - mine was renewed last month.
