I'm not sure if this is in the right place.
Does anyone have any advice about selling a youtube shorts channel ?
There seems to be a number of 'agents' on the internet but how on earth do you verify them and trust them?
The asking price is about £75,000 tia

Same way as you sell any business, advertise it for sale and wait for buyers to come to you or actively approach potential buyers. An agency can do it for you and may have a better idea of who potential buyers would be for proactive marketing.
Ultimately somethings worth what someone is willing to pay for it but how did you come to the £75k valuation?1 -
Presumably the channel is getting around 60 million views a month and making around £3,000 a month for a valuation like that? It'd be interesting to know the niche it's in...DullGreyGuy said:how did you come to the £75k valuation?

Ooo... It's making over £12,000 per month , so maybe he has under valued it.MobileSaver said:

Are many sold? I would have thought they would be one of the riskiest investments you could think of making.

That's some stratospheric rise from previous posts - what are people actually buying ? The channel with it's current content ? Future content creation ? Is the value in you/your son or is the content readily creatable by others ?sparkiemalarkie said:

He has valued the channel after conversations with fellow youtubers who do this on a regular basis.... set up a channel, get it monetized, sell it on, rinse and repeat.
I think he is including all the current content - the content is readily creatable by a new owner. There have been a string of sponsorship offers too but DS lacks the experience and confidence to accept.
It's a great channel but he has burnt himself out.......
I understand that there are legitimate ways of selling these but he/we lack experience and knowledge... hence the post.

A lot of these channels seem to have media that are compilations of clips produced by others. I came across one which openly admitted to have been using clips without the copyright owner's permission as they said they would be pleased to take any clip down following a complaint from the owner of said clip. My point is that if Youtube or anybody else started to take copyright infringement seriously, many channels would not have much of a shelf life.
