Where we live (nowhere near London or other city) £600 would barely get a studio flat. There is a long waiting list for council garages and they are twice the price of your garage.GDB2222 said:Somniac said:

OP, ignoring what the rent used to be, how does the latest rate compare to the market rent for renting a garage from anybody else?0

It depends on whether you can afford it. Some people pay £1000s a month on rent, if they can afford it it’s fine, maybe £600 is a large proportion of this person’s income.GDB2222 said:Somniac said:

So am I. How do you afford to pay your rent and council tax out of that? It leaves nothing over for food or heating. I’m amazed that you previously had £14 a week left over for a garage. You must be very good at budgeting.Somniac said:
