Good morning, it's sunny here - yesterday was nice as well.
Sorry to read that you aren't well Camelot, hope you'll soon feel better.I
WL, did you go to the party? If you did, hope it all went well.
Happy new en suite Izzy!
Hope Mr F will be home soon and feeling better Florenceem.
Nice to see you Coxy and Silver - Oldie.
Sorry if I've missed anyone.
Yesterday was ok, I went with dh to B&Q for some damp proofing stuff then on to a nearby Sains where I did some shopping.
We thought we might go to an NT place in Northumberland today, we have been there for a few years.
Hope everyone has a good day, thinking of Mr Florenceem, and our other poorlies.
Take care folks.

Good morning all - thanks for starting us off @Scarlet. It's fairly misty here and damp.Yesterday turned into a fabulously hot day, what a surprise it was. I roused myself to cut the grass, it was fairly long after all the rain even though it had been done about three weeks ago. The farmer was cutting the verges so I was shamed into it!This morning I'm about to set off to Glasgow. I have my MRI appointment, strange that it's on a Sunday but I suppose the NHS is trying to speed things up though I haven't waited long at all for this, probably about one month. At least the traffic shouldn't be as bad as a Saturday would be.I hope that everyone is getting better, at least a little bit. @SO - it's so good to read that you have stuck with the bereavement cafe. I still talk to my late father and he's been dead over 25 years, and the others also get the odd comment! Nothing unusual I think.12

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. A day of sunshine is forecast for today. Whoop whoop. The sun finally got through mid afternoon yesterday and it felt lovely having warm sunshine on my face again.
DS is finally at the end of his renovation on the house of doom after the tenant from hell had left a trail of mess and destruction in her wake. It has taken him just over a month of hard graft to be fit in whenever he could. Yesterday he came for the ladders stored in my garage to clean all the windows upstairs and down, both in and out. As well as to pick up my spare recycling bin (for some reason I had been left two) as someone had walked off with the one there! Some people will steal owt!
When he comes to return the ladders today we are then off to do the supermarket sweep. I have quite a long list today as they were away over the BH w/e so no shopping got down.. He will be chomping at the bit when I finally gallop to the checkout!
Ozzie friend and family are now in Edinburgh and yesterday I was inundated with photos of all the sights from their open top bus tour and later their visit to see the Greyfriars Bobby statue. It's all very commercialised now compared to when we visited it way back when, with GFB tea room, bar, etc.
I hope our poorlies are feeling better, CAMELOT and WL suffering from the lurgy. NAN are you back from your break yet? I hope you are feeling much refreshed for it. ((HUGS)) for all in need, take care and be safe xx
ps TAFF I endorse the addition of deep drawers in your new kitchen plan. So much easier than grovelling about in cupboards.

Morning allWell yesterday turned ito a nice day although the wind was a bit of a nuisance. After DH and DS fixed the problem with his car we had a BBQ which was lovely. Planted the sunflowers so now the competition begins as to who's going to have the tallest!Pasta and meatballs for dinner. Must get myself dressed in a mo as I've accidentally put in my shopping delivery slot as 8-9 instead of the usualy 9-10, At least I noticed beforehand!Have a good day all and hugs to all the poorlies x11

Thanks to all who have posted so far.Managed to get most of what I planned done yesterday - I’m already thinking I have too many things to try and get done today before another busy week at work. I was also awake early and think I’ll regret not trying to sleep for longer.Anyway the sun is out so there’ll definitely be some lawn mowing (around the builders sacks) and moving a large pallet crate. Have to wate next door’s plants too as they’re away.My blood pressure is waaaaay lower than it was at the Drs, although I did forget to take it last night, so I doubt there’s any cause for concern there (which is as I thought).Dinner is fish - type and style as yet to be decided!AA12

Morning all. The sun's out so hoping for a warmer day. There was a cold wind down in London yesterday.
Yes, I did go to the party, although the main bit was the lunch at the flat beforehand, so that we could meet DS's fiancee's parents. Her mother, especially, had been a bit concerned I think so was pleased to meet us and we all got on well. It will be a big Hindu ceremony, combined with an official bit by the Registrar, and they will take me sari shopping nearer the time.
I still feel totally rubbish and am wondering when this cold will go away. DH is going to cook some lamb steaks for Sunday lunch and we shall both just chill.
I hope everyone else has a relaxing Sunday. Well done Silver Oldie for going back to the Bereavement Cafe; a brave thing to do.12 -
Good morning all
Thank you for the start Scarletribbons
Thank you for all your kind comments, good to know I'm not the only one.
Forecast for today is dry but it feels quite cold at the moment. I really need to cut the lawn, after all this rain is it's growing fast.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.10 -
Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, hope you enjoy your day out.
I'm feeling much more human this morning after sleeping from 10 until 3 yesterday and that's after a 12 hour sleep on Friday!
Of course I wasn't ready for sleep last night until late but did get a few hours in. Seems a shame that I missed the good weather. I was meant to have the little one overnight but had to cancel, don't want her to catch anything and didn't think I could manage - will have her another weekend but it meant that her Mummy and Daddy couldn't go out.
I must sort the tomato plants today, they are growing quite fast now and need the side shoots taking out. May also cut the grass before the rain arrives later in the week.
Well done SO, such an achievement for you.
Hope your cold is clearing up WL, glad you enjoyed the party.
How are you feeling now dp1?
Hope Mr F is recovering Florence.
Happy new en suite Izzy!
Safe journey Gers, hope you don't get held up on the way home.
I'm going to have some toast, actually quite hungry this morning.
Hope everyone has a peaceful Sunday. Take care. XX10 -

Morning everyone
I missed posting yesterday as little one stayed on Friday night. the film If was ok but not what I thought it was going to be, little one enjoyed it when it got going but asked if we could leave after 10 minutes! Sweeties helped her to stay with it! We called into a shop as she needed a new ball for my house so that kept her amused when we got home.
I got more antibiotics earlier in the week which have helped a bit, still exhausted most of the time, even when I do nothing much. Though yesterday I pottered a bit too long in the garden, after little one had gone home, but I got everything done I wanted to. It was a beautiful day here and we spent all day outside after her swimming lesson. She was very excited because we had a picnic lunch on the rug in the garden - for some reason, she insisted the food was all in plastic takeaway size plastic boxes! Apparently that's what you do on a proper picnic.
Her assessment at the dental hospital went well, she was fascinated by the xray machine going round her head and being able to see all her 'thousands' of adult teeth waiting to grow. She has to have the two bottom back ones out, but it has to be arranged with her consultant as she'll probably have to be on a glucose drip when she has it so her blood sugars don't go to low. Hopefully it will be sorted in a few months and DD just has to ask for antibiotics when it hurts again.
Well I'd better get going down to mam and dads, it's forecast to be a lovely day so I'll be spending the afternoon in the garden, sitting and reading this time.
Oh, Wicked lady that will be an interesting wedding.
hope everyone has a good day x9
