Please confirm that if any of the applicants are grandchildren of the deceased (3.2c) that their parent is one of the persons referred to at (3.2b).If they are not then they are not able to apply

YES (and a box to tick)

So my dad only has 2 surviving children. One grandchild.  Do I tick yes? 

On 3.2
a. NIL.  2
b NIL.  NIL
c NIL. NIL 

Do I tick the yes box?  I’m confused by the wording of this question?

So is it a grandchild applying for Letters of Administration? It’s not clear from your posts who is the deceased and what the relationship is of the person (you?) applying for LoA.

Is the Grandchild applying for the Grant of Probate / LoA?  If NO then the Q doesn't apply.

If YES - Why when there are two living children of the deceased?  BUT...  Grandchild can apply if their parent predeceased their Grandparent.

BUT your numbers state no children predeceased the parent so the Grandchild CANNOT apply.

There’s no ‘NO’ box to tick. Just a ‘YES’ box.
 

I am the daughter of the deceased (my dad), I have a brother. I am the one applying for the LoA.

So do I tick yes or not? I’m seriously confused by the wording of this.

No, you don’t tick it, just leave it blank. It doesn’t apply as you are not your fathers grandchild and it is only you applying.
