From what my insurance said they didn’t have a personal injury claim but they had received a solicitor letter ,
i know the insurance will pay for car , car storage , car hire . I think car hire was 5 weeks .

today I got a solicitor letter for plaintiffs claim for £10,000 loss & damages . I have forwarded to the insurance company .
Is it Normal to get solicitors involved if it’s not a personal injury claim . I assume loss and damages is car , car hire , storeage . Legal bill is £573

Your own insurance only covers what the policy covers for and most people will have uninsured losses like the policy excess. If you have legal expenses cover then the insurer will appoint a solicitor to assist in your recovery of these but if it's just your excess they may deal with that themselves.
With TPO/TPFT then you have no over at all for your own losses in an accident and therefore the LE cover will be looking to recover all aspects of the claim.
If the insurer isn't getting anywhere with recovering their outlay and a solicitor has already been appointed to recover the uninsured losses then the insurer will normally pass their own losses to the solicitor to recover too.
Ultimately it's of no consequence to you, just pass it to your insurers to respond to and maybe give them a heads up that it's coming to them.0
