Good morning all
Thank you for the start @Gers
Went to the bereavement café at the hospice yesterday. It's emotionally exhausting but at least I know I'm not the only one who talks to their loved one.
Forecast says dry today but it's cold and windy.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.10 -
Washing done today as it is meant to stay dry and I like to get it outside.
TravellingAbuela - please be careful with your flapping slippers.
-taff - Mr F had no symptoms so unaware of an issue with his chest. He has never smoked.

Morning all
Dry and bright here and meant to be the same tomorrow, dd left for work early this morning so just OH and I here and the dogs of course, he will get them out for a good walk later while I do some gardening and go and see mum.
Dinner tonight will be bbq (always makes me think of Nels) we have some reduced steak and some sausage swirls I’m not sure if dd is eating with us or going out.
Had a good day shopping yesterday dd got a load of bits and I got a few too including some beautiful linen trousers and a linen shirt which will do for my holiday.
Camelot and WL hope you feel better soon xx
Taff how exciting a new kitchen ! My advice would be to put in double the amount of sockets you think you will need and have mainly drawers instead of cupboards so much easier as you get older, I have two cupboards and the rest drawers and they are so much easier.
Have good days all and take care xx8 -
SO, I talk to my parents regualrly, in my head or out loud....And my mantra for anything is wwdd, what would daddy do? And yes, they are still mammy and daddy to me, not any poshed up grown up thing

Afternoon all, mainly cloudy here.We went to watch DGD in a football tournament, bit of a pleasant drive away over the moors, onto a small windy road & there it was in the middle of nearly nowhere, lots of pitches with a couple of hundred cars parking up on the fields. Fine apart from the fields were a bit soggy, and cars were sinking! A few of us tried to help one woman to no avail, so she had to leave it where it was with the promise of a tractor to pull it out afterwards. Then a minibus was doing the same, so a dozen girls all got out, their coach said it was a good warming up exercise
as they all pushed and got it out of the rut.We sat in the camper through most of the mini matches as it was nippy, then we were home for lunchtime with fish and chips to warm us up.
@taff , extra room in a kitchen always seems to add value, so as long as it doesn't leave you skint, why not. Ruby has good advice too re drawers- I really wish I'd had a pull out larder put in, we had 1 in our previous house, saves all that bending looking for the tin of beans you know you have somewhereDH isn't very bendy now so I have to look for everything in the bottom cupboards!
S Oldie, glad you felt you could go to the bereavement cafe.WL hope you have a good day in London.Nice to see you Coxy.Going to spend an hour reading my kindle now, doing nothing apart from making another brew!Take care all , hope the poorlies get better soon .
