MINT - Credit Limit Increase?

Hellom
I recieved my MINT card today with a less than needed credit limit.

I have not called them yet, but if I call them and ask for an increase what are the chances of getting one?

They gave me a limit of only £1.3k which was disappointing but useful nevertheless. I have an A1 payment record but a lot of credit so if you're in the same position they might ask you for proof of earnings. I just used was given to me.

ok thanks. It makes the 3.5k seem a bit better than first expected. I may just not say anything...thanks for the info and happy New Year.

3.5k is bad? thats just slightly less than I make in a year lol

I was given £900 limit (when i was 20) then i phoned up and said thats a poor limit becaise i had a £4K mbna card. They said we will raise it to £1300 for you and if you supply proof of income i can have £1800. I don't know if this still works, that was about 3 years ago!

Customer service agents can usually give you an increase when you call to activate the card. However, the increase is usually limited to approx 10-15% of what you've already been allocated. Larger increases are possible by writing and explaining the circumstances of your request.
