Bought a used car last week but am yet to recieve V5C, DVLA says a four week wait. However at work today I forgot to register my car in the system which controls the car park. Obviously I will speak to them but assuming any notice will be sent to the person who is still shown as the current owner, aka, not me? Is there any way I can get around this as I don't want it escalating because I can't respond to it

The quoted 4 weeks only applies to you actually receiving the V5C, not to updating the records. If the dealer changed the details on line, the DVLA's records will have been updated pretty well instantly.

Last year I bought a car 2nd Aug. V5 issue date is 3rd Aug and I received it on 5th August. If done on line it happens pretty quickly. Snail mail will likely take a bit longer but 4 weeks is the usual "don't call us before" fallback option.

Back to the question though, what does happen with parking charge invoices? are they sent to the RK who would then send it to me. would the company then try and suggest i didnt pay within 28 days and thus i now have to pay the increased charge etc. Obviously I won't be paying a thing least of all because i work there.
Another car park I used wasn't work, it was a ringgo anpr controlled one. I bought a 24 hour ticket but left once and then returned within the period. Will I get a ticket because of this because of ANPR "double dipping "etc.0 -

Would they charge you - how would we know?
Will you get a ticket - probably.0 -

I find it “worrying” that the DVLA are showing the tax due on a date that doesn’t coincidence with the purchase0
