Sold car at auction what next?

Going to the Gov.uk site to tell them I've sold car. But one question is: "Did I sell it to a motor trader or privately". Well, it was sold at a car auction... don't know who to.
Does the auction count as a trader, which seems to be most likely. Or if the buyer was just an ordinary man the street do I put privately?

    Yes, to a motor trader.
It actually comes up list of different types of motor traders on the very first page.
    • motor dealer
    • car buying service
    • motor auctioneer
    • salvage dealer
    • finance or insurance company
    • fleet operator
You just need their name and post code when it asks who and jobs a good'un.
