Council Tax assistance

Hello. I have been self employed for 2 decades, company I’ve been with 14 years has liquidated all of a sudden a few months ago. Not found a job yet but money has run out. Can I register as not employed and non active and receive council tax assistance / any benefit entitlement?

You'd need to apply for universal credit I think, assuming you don't have more that £16k savings.
I'm not sure what you mean by 'non-active' ?
Are you not looking for work else where ? Either as self-employed or employed ?
( As an aside, if you have been working purely for the same single company for 14 years, I'm not sure how HMRC would view your status as being 'self employed', but that's another topic for another day...)1
