Hi, I placed an order that stated 3 day delivery, this is the reason I ordered from this seller, the location said it was in Leicester, I'm also in Leicester. It was for my grandsons birthday for him to take on his holiday, however it didn't arrive on time. The seller said to wait a few days, it was being delivered by Yodel, 2 days ago tracking says its been delivered through letterbox, but I haven't recieved it, it must have been someone else's letter box, I have checked with neighbours, nobody has it, after reading the feedback it turns out it was coming from abroad, now the seller is telling me to chase it with yodel, and won't refund, my question is, should it be me chasing it, I thought they would only deal with the seller, I feel like I'm being fobbed off, any advice would be greatly appreciated
wins so far:- absolutely nothing, not even an arguement:mad:

Ultimately a claim for compensation from Yodel will have to be done by the seller but realistically you are in a better position to chase before that then them. Lets say Yodel does the normal of sending a photo of the door with the parcel half out the letterbox, the seller is going to have no idea if thats your front door or not whereas clearly you will. The seller therefore would just slow things having to forward the photo to you etc.
The last parcel we had that went AWOL was from Yodel but we didnt have to wait for them to investigate as we have a video doorbell and it captured everything. Chap walks up, rings the doorbell, waits, then sticks the parcel half way into the letterbox, steps back, take a photo and leaves. 5 minutes later woman walks past, stops just passed our gate, waits for a minute or two, turns back, comes into our garden, takes the parcel out the letterbox and walks off with it. Doubt she'll have been too impressed with the medicated rosacea cream she stole but maybe that's why she was wearing a mask the whole time.2 -
I've also had difficulty with Yodel this week and left a grumpy one star Trustpilot review. For some unknown reason Yodel couriers (and only Yodel couriers) like to deliver to the block of flats down the road from where I live (which is also a different street), and often leave it on a random door step. Thankfully I recovered my parcel.
This led to the social media team responding and asking for details, which I sent them including Google street view images of my address with the house number clearly marked on the door, and pictures of the place they took it to, as shown in the delivery photo.
I've now had an apologetic email from Yodel, but whether it will do anything I've no idea. Personally I avoid them wherever possible.0 -
Presume this is EBay? Ultimately then you should raise an item not received case.0

I had this issue last year as a buyer but mine was a Royal Mail parcel that RM confirmed had been mis delivered. It took me about 3 weeks to resolve, I needed confirmation in writing from RM that they had mis delivered the parcel, submitted that to eBay and eBay repaid me as a goodwill gesture. I spent hours on the phone to eBay, and emailing RM.
