Morning everyone
Bright and sunny this morning and yes it's meant to last all weekend for us too - fingers crossed.
I have DDs little kitten here, she stayed last night as they went to Newcastle overnight as little one has an early appointment at the dental hospital. They're going to assess her teeth and hopefully arrange a date for her two back teeth to be removed. Little one found it very amusing the kitten was having a sleepover without her.
We've tickets to see a film called If this afternoon, then it's little ones turn to stay tonight as DD is back at work.
Eldest DD is in Turkey with a friend and is sending lovely photos, the hotel they're staying in looks lovely.
Right best get on I've got to go down to dads banking this morning. Hope everyone has a good day. Enjoy the sunshine x8 -
Hi everyone,
I'm sorry I'm not as regular posting but I find it hard when I'm looking after the little ones, they occupy all my time, which is as it should be. Yesterday we looked after Nate, he's obsessed by wheels and we took him a small wheelbarrow which he spent a lot of the day pushing around the house.
The weather is very grey again, I told Steve we jinxed it having the solar panels installed but he thinks it was buying a garden parasol for the first time.
I've got the Council meeting tonight, I'm used to speaking at them because I was Town Clerk there for a number of years, several of the Councillors are still there.
Last full day without the family, Laura and the children will be back tomorrow.
Steve's just shown me photos of our trip to Scarborough and Whitby that have popped up on his phone from 2018. It was there he found the lump in his neck - six years ago, it hardly seems possible. That means it is five years in July since he finished his chemo, although he had two further years of immunotherapy so I don't know if they consider five years survival from 2019 or 2021. Whatever, we have a lot to be thankful for.
Have a good day.10 -
Morning folks and thanks for the start @Chrisca50 x
Sorry I don’t post more – I always read along but it’s sometimes difficult to post from work despite not having much to do. I sit in a small office with 7 others and they can all see my screen, so I have to pick my moment. Currently only one other here so I’m seizing the chance!
Cold here and a bit drizzly – meant to rain all day. I plan to run home later unless it’s torrential. I very much need to work on my mental health and the running helps. DS1 has had an allergic reaction to chemicals at work and has puffy eyes/face. He gets married 3 weeks today so I’ve urged him to get some medical attention or at the very least some anti-histamine tablets (he’s currently working away from home). Hope to see him and DIL2B tomorrow at some point.
DD is looking into travelling – think it’s been sparked by us mooting selling the house, downsizing and moving area. She would move with us but I think she’s wanting to see a bit of the world before maybe buying her own place. DS2 is back from 2nd year of uni on Monday then DDad arrives from Cyprus on Wednesday for the wedding. It’s all go. We have an EA valuing our house this morning so will see what happens there.
Dinner tonight is ginger and soy grilled salmon steaks with mini sweetcorn and green veg. Nice and quick and tasty too.
Hope MrF is doing okay @Florencem x
Lovely to hear from JackieO and her plans for her big move to IoW – good luck with it all Jackie! X
GWS @camelot1001 x
Hope you feel better soon @WickedLady4 and that you can attend the engagement tomorrow x
Have a good day everyone,

Morning all, well surprise surprise- we have sun and beautiful blue skies.Sorry I didn't post either yesterday. I had DGD for the day and she took over my laptop early, then we were out for most of the day. We took the bus to Bury, although the market wasn't on,she was only really interested in Primarni
. It's a much more modern store than ours, but who knew you could spend so much on little bits and pieces
DGS is a saver, she is def a spender! Came back and had a late lunch in our favourite cafe. It was lovely to spend time with her.
DH went out to the pub last night. One of the 4 usual pals had just come back from a longish stay in Spain, so it was a bit later than normal, not late though. I caught up with the 1st episode of Rebus @Gers , I liked Richard Rankin in Outlander.I'll probably carry on with it for a bit longer, though as you say he does seem a troubled soul with a bit of a nasty streakWL hope you feel better soon and don't miss your DS engagement do & lunch with his future inlaws.RR, do you feel any better for having a big sleep ? Hope so.I'm cooking a chicken for tea. I'm hoping Ly las dog food gets delivered today, otherwise she'll be eating a lot of the chicken - I know the owner said they had been having delivery problems when he brought the order last month.Right, better push on, have a good day all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all. Wet here and forecast for most of the day. I feel tired after the busy days of Doctor and hospital visits with Mr F.
Yesterday I received a video of my granddaughter doing a bungee jump in Australia.
Gers - I think life takes over sometimes and the day is gone before we have managed to post.
WickedLady4 - sorry you are feeling poorly. You can't help being ill - I would say - rest and meet up another time.
dp1 - It is 9.30 to use a bus pass here.

Dp1 and Flo it's 9.30 to use bus pass here too. But just over the "border" into North Yorkshire its 9.00. Considering its classed as an all England pass why can't they all be the same! Xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"7
