Morning all
Early start here <sigh> Watching the news with breakfast in bed. Shopping later and no gardening as, surprise surprise, it's going to be yet another wet day here.
Have a good day all x

Good morning, thanks for starting Chrisca.
It's fine here, but, it'll almost certainly rain at some point. I read somewhere that. this is the wettest summer since 1912!
Just did stuff round the house yesterday, and went to the funeral in the afternoon.. It was a lady who was in our Residents' Association, she had been ill since last year.
Gers, I should have used the "find in store" option for that cardigan. Though I didn't mind browsing round the store.
Not much going on today.
Camelot, hope your meeting at work goes ok.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks11 -
Morning everyone
Missed a couple of days - getting up earlier as the builders are early birds and there have been material deliveries - if I don’t post first thing the day passes me by! I was shocked to see only 5 posts in yesterday’s daily though.Had a nice day out in mid Wales walking with friends yesterday - got a bit lost, slipped down a small slope and must have landed on some nettles. Had a tingly behind all day 😃
Have my blood results and health check today - have seen the blood results in my online record and they look ok.Dry forecast here and for the next few days at least.Hope everyone can look forward of the weekend

Morning All
It didn't rain yesterday! Apparently it won't rain today either.
I have a couple of living room throws in the WM, will get them pegged out before I go to work. I've a training course this afternoon which is nearer to home so that will be a bonus.
Not feeling too good at the moment, started yesterday afternoon with a funny throat, probably a cold unfolding although Covid is doing the rounds in school again but we don't have to test so I'll take my chances!
Hope everyone is well and you have a good Friday. Take care. XX10 -
Morning all - thanks for starting us @Chrisca. It's a bit warmer this morning so I have hopes of a fine day. 😀 Yesterday afternoon turned out to be glorious after a bad start. I went back up to the big house garden to get some left over Himalayan poppy cuttings. The garden is sheltered from the worst of the winds and salt spray so everything grows well.Today I have no plans apart from a wee trip into town to pick up the really rubbish local paper. I'll probably do a towel wash as they can go outside.@Scarlet - I really don't like too much mooching round shops searching, though it is nice to suddenly come across something not seen before.@Camelot - I hope you feel better soon, a summer cold is nasty and Covid even worse.@DP1 - talk of Covid makes me think of you, you're still going through the mill.@AA - you made me laugh at your tingly bum 😀😀 and then go all worried about your builders and the mess they create whilst making your place fantastic.Yes, once again this daily thread is fading. It's such a shame as it's been a source of great virtual friendship and real support for me and lots of others over the years. Not having much to say doesn't stop me. I remember the days when it went on for pages and pages, a lot of those moved away, died or simply stopped posting. I think of them often. Perhaps the usefulness of this thread has had its heyday and gone out of fashion, I hope not.Hugs to our poorlies.12

Morning folks and thanks CHRISCA. For a change it's a beautiful start here, with blue sky and sunshine. Alas the cloud is due to take over shortly. But no rain, and none forecast for 3 days! I shall believe that if it happens! I noticed a headline on the 'net saying we can expect rain for the next 50 days!! I refrained from reading it, far too depressing.
I have the excitement of the Friday Tidy today, followed by the end of the month banking. I have followed CAMELOT's lead and cut a few peonies (still in bud) and put in a vase in the kitchen. I think I will cut a few more today for the hall and lounge as they are already looking battered with all the rain and will droop even more when they flower. Such a shame as they really are beautiful flowers.
I am getting constant photos sent from my Oz friend's WhatsApp group of their UK tour. I am quite envious and wish I had stowed away in their boot. From here it was York, then Scarborough (to scatter some of her DH's mum's ashes) then yesterday they moved up to Bamburgh. Edinburgh will be the next stop, They haven't been blessed with the best weather but they are not letting that spoil their trip.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and fed up. Take care all, be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
Morning everyone AA I know what you mean about the day running away with you when you have builders in my bathroom should be finished today they will land any minute now then they start the second one in four weeks it will be nice to have a break from them although they have been very good and it’s going to look lovely. I’m doing my volunteering at the food waste this morning I’m hoping it stays dry we are due showers it’s supposed to stay dry over the weekend I need to get some towels washed and bedding and I want it hung out . The weekend will be spent having a good clean through and trying to rest I have suffered for years with tendinitis in my heels and at the minute it’s flared up and I’m struggling to walk far I’ve always said I don’t wish to be over six foot tall wafer thin with long swishing hair I just want good feet by the way the first bits a lie . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

They are already in Edinburgh after leaving Hull and now off to Ben Nevis, Glencoe etc. All the touristy places. I warned them not to buy too much tourist tat though they didn't know that word!Bamburgh would be my favourite.@Izzy - sorry that you're in pain from your feet.White wash chugging away, hair washed and first coffee in my hand.I've paid for a couple of books as a gift for a friend so I can relax until the machine is finished. I set up the next month's spreadsheet the other day and then went a bit mad and set up the next 11 months worth. Copy and paste is so good, just a couple of formulas to adjust.10 -
Morning everyone and thank you for starting us off Chrisca50
It's grey and damp here this morning, so no gardening for me!
I am seeing a friend in the village for a coffee this morning, so fingers crossed I don't get wet.
Hope you all have a good day. x9 -
Morning all
Lovely day here and meant to be nice all weekend - we shall see ! I did not get chance to post yesterday as the sleeping tablets are working far too well and I slept till 10.30 😳 I did not take one last night as I had to be up earlier today I will persevere with them for a while and then go back to the GP if necessary.
Off to get my nails done this morning and then going shopping with DD, she is off to Crete next Sunday and needs a few bits so we will go and do that today.
Fish and chips for dinner tonight mum said she will pay this week which is nice. The weather is looking good over the weekend so hopefully we can bbq both days.
Izzy I hope your poor feet settle down a bit xx
Camelot feel better soon xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all. Dry but dull here this morning.
I think I skipped posting yesterday; I've developed a rotten cold and my nose is so congested yet running at the same time. I've been dosing myself up with paracetamol as the last time I tried a decongestant it made my throat and mouth so dry. I was awake at 3.40am today ( I guess the night nurse had stopped working by then) but I did finally manage to get back to sleep after an hour or so.
What's worrying me is that we have my son's engagement party in London tomorrow and we have been invited to lunch at their flat beforehand to meet her parents. I'm in two minds whether to go and really hope that I feel up to it tomorrow.
I've also just phoned and postponed a Health check appointment I'd booked for this morning as I wouldn't cope with that today.
Other than that DH is taking his car to have something done about the air conditioning today. With a bit of luck we might need it if the weather ever warms up!
I hope everyone else is keeping well or recovering.10
