Plumber did a bad job

Good afternoon.
A few weeks ago I had a leak in my downstairs bathroom and plumber said it was from my toilet where the seals had gone.
He replaced the toilet and after I paid him via invoice with my debit card I noticed the floor wet.
After sending him both Text and email (I want a paper trail in case it goes to court) there has been no reply.
Can anyone please tell me what are my rights and how long I should wait until I get his work rectified and charge it to him as I'm concerned about him coming to my house under duress if things turn sour.
Thank you

I assume it's still wet/leaking? Or do you mean it was wet when he finished the job?
I'm not sure why a perished or broken seal required the whole toilet to be changed. What were you charged?3 -
a toilet can normally leakfrom two places - either from the inlet water or from the flushed water.
on the face of it repairing either of those would not require a new loo
the only time a new loo would be required would be if the leak was from a cracked basin.

It looks very much as if the OP has been ripped off already so I don't think they will get any response now from the plumber. As others have said, the toilet doesn't need to be replaced to replace a seal.
