Confession! 
I've lurked on a particular person's profile out of curiosity on Facebook.  
I don't use it to communicate socially with people (I'm anti-social ), I just use it occasionally to look at other Facebook stuff whereby you need an account to do so.
Anyway,  I noticed that I had a friend suggestion from this particular person. I have no personal connection to this person, no shared contacts, they are someone connected to someone I have dealings with (not personal).
Question? - Would they also receive me as a friend suggestion, or will it just have been one sided?
Also, out of fear as it could be an awkward situation,  I deleted my account the same day, so my other question is - 
If a friend suggestion also came up for them too, would my deleting my account remove my actual name, or will it hopefully have removed the whole suggestion of me too. 
Advice needed please!

You could have just preemptively blocked them, as far as they would be concerned you don't exist on Facebook and you wouldn't be suggested as a "friend". 

I've done this (blocked people) with lots of people I don't want to connect to, and if I unfriend, it's a delete and block.

Never mind. Hopefully, my name will not show up after having deleted my account, which to be honest, I'm not too bothered about really.  Too dangerous for the likes of me, as I'm not savvy enough

A friend suggestion is generated by FB, a friend request is generated by the person. The person will have no knowledge of you looking at their profile, the FB system though ........
