With Apple Pay and Google Pay being third party payments services, why are they covered by Section 75 and not Amazon Payments?

Have you had a claim rejected, and if so, by whom and on what specific grounds?

With ApplePay and GooglePay the money goes direct from your creditor to the suppliers merchant bank, doesn't pass through Apple/Google's hands so doesn't introduce another party to the transaction.

AmazonPay is like PayPal where the money is actually paid to Amazon initially and then paid on to the Supplier.

S75 requires there to be an unbroken triangle between Debtor, Creditor, Supplier. The House of Lords (as the predecessor of the Supreme Court) determined that the supplier's merchant account provider doesn't break it but there has been no similar ruling for other intermediaries like PayPal and Amazon.

Brought a phone in Jan 2033 from Amazon Marketplace seller which is now faulty.
Tried to claim against Pulse card
Did not know it was from an Amazon Marketplace Seller because the phone was delivered by Amazon

I believe the principle is that google and apple pay are simply payment processors - they just stored your card and pass it onto the retailer when making payment. With yours you bought from a third party seller who uses the amazon platform to sell - akin to a travel agent selling you a ticket - they did more than just pass on details.

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
