Google's Find My Device - and other trackers

I've been using Samsung's version of these devices (SmartTags) for some time, in luggage, personal bags and one in the car.
With the imminent arrival of Google's entry into this market I've ordered myself a credit-card sized tracker (Samsung don't have this form) for use in my wallet - which I now realise is marked "RFID Protected".
Now I know that trackers are not using RFID but will the tinfoil (or whatever the wallet is proofed with) inhibit the tracker's, er, tracking?
Do I cancel it as a no-go?
