Electric/gas moved in want new supplier

When you move in to a property, one of the first things to do is to call the energy supplier and give them the readings you took upon moving in. Yes you might need to give them your details and setup an account with them. But after that it should be simple for you to switch to a supplier of your choice.

You sign up with them, open account and provide an opening meter reading, the one you took when you first had access to the property. Once that’s done you can then switch to a supplier of your choice.1

I’ve tried setting up an account online but it only shows me the options to select a new plan, so if I do this I’ll be locked in for a year. Thanks for the replies0

No you won't. Just pick the SVT, which you can leave at any time, without penalty.llamaly said:I’ve tried setting up an account online but it only shows me the options to select a new plan, so if I do this I’ll be locked in for a year. Thanks for the replies0 -
