Good morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x
We had a busy BH weekend socialising, taking a road trip to visit possible villages/towns to retire to(!), and a trip to the theatre last night. Feel like I’m meeting myself coming backwards! Tonight I’m going to do a little ironing and have an early-ish night I think!
Sounds like they want to squeeze more out of less time @camelot1001 – very cheeky.
Glad you’ve got your house plans sorted @-taff
Sounds like (hopefully) not too much of a delay then @IzzyBee – hopefully you’ll forget all about it when you’re luxuriating in your new bathroom!
@snoozer – I say go for it and speak up as you may kick yourself if you don’t take the opportunity. What’s the worst that could happen, good luck x
Happy bus trip day @TravellingAbuela x
Have a good day all

Morning all
Dry and bright here but more rain and thunder storms due tomorrow 🙄 no Rob today as he has an upset tummy again will phone his mum later to see if he is in tomorrow.
I got some new pills to help me sleep from the Dr which I started last night they did not seem to get me to sleep any earlier but once I was asleep I did not wake up once but I also struggled to get out of bed this morning I’m hoping they will get better with time.
Dogs to be walked this morning and then I shall go and do the shopping, dinner tonight will be either salmon new pots and veg or tacos will see what we feel like later, we ended up having Kiev and chips last night so the meatballs will be for another day.
Taff we’ll done on finalising your plans xx
Snoozer good luck xx

Afternoon everyone
I've just put my bedding out on the line as the forecast said no rain today, but guess what...there's a big black cloud approaching! I've been down to mam and dads this morning for a cuppa and then for some shopping. I have to go out again later as I have a doctor's appointment - I feel rubbish and my cough is awful again, I think I could have a another chest infection.
Short and sweet today - hope you all have a good day x

Gers, we had a new M & S open a few years ago, it's only 5 minutes away down the A1 and it's a great temptation, just as well we have Steve's discount.
I got my e-mail written yesterday and I've asked to speak at the Council meeting on Friday although it's a Town Council meeting and I think the vast majority feel as I do. I'm still pondering whether to ask to speak at the Local Authority meeting.
I've got a hair appointment this morning, they seem to come around so fast, I don't think my hair has grown as much as normal but I'll still go. I noticed the cost has gone up again - £40 for a cut and blow dry, my hair is short and very fine, it's almost dry by the time she finishes cutting, I noticed the time allotted is 40 minutes but mine usually takes about half that time and she slots me in while someone is waiting for a colour to work, maybe I should ask for a discount (I won't of course, I'll just grumble on here).Am jealous of your big M&S - just been to our food hall, it's always got stuff missing!Well done you on speaking up, more should do it but a lot just don't bother. Making your voice heard is about democracy. My fingers are well and truly crossed for you.I never have my hair dried. My hairdresser offered to discount the price but I declined. She's a one-person business, perhaps I'm too soft! When I lived in Jesmond I would even go to my hairdresser with wet hair, I lived two minutes from the salon and the lovely owner would let me come in before official working hours. He was really lovely. Shower at home, hair cut then off to work! That was well before I had my hair coloured.5 -

Taff,
There have been lots of ideas about use for the site and they are in the Town Council's neighbourhood plan so the Local Authority knows what the residents want they just want to make an easy buck. The land is prime, town centre, alongside the river (flood plain is the other side so it doesn't flood) so it would bring in a lot6 -
Just had a thought, I'm hoping to move within the next couple of weeks Anyone know if I will be able to vote where I've moved to as I obviously won't be on the electoral roll as such in the new area. Finally going to my happy place on the IoW at last
