Best European breakdown policy( France)

    Doesn't your UK vehicle insurance policy provide a period of cover for continental travel, with or without additional cost..?

    Travel/driving would be covered but not breakdown unless specifically included. 

    It depends whether @diamond_dave has breakdown cover in this country. Personally (although I've never had to use it) I've upgraded my existing cover to European usually Green Flag but sometimes RAC or AA, depending on what the insurance company offers.

    I found AXA quite competative for European Breakdown cover. I never had to call on them though, so no idea how good they are in the event of a breakdown.
